Westside Events

Welcome to the page regarding Westside Events that are relevant to the West Mitchell Street CME Church Family! These meetings are important to us because they are where our “community at large” is being shaped as we speak, so it is highly recommended that as the Spirit leads you, please “make time” to attend these events, and voice your input.

Here we go:

As you may have been aware: In the past year, we have been attending the Plan Westside Future Fund meetings, which are still going on right now (simply go to www.planwestside.org to view their upcoming events). These events currently occur on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, and feature speakers and organizations from the Atlanta area.

However, their events have become much less “plan-oriented,” and are now more “networking-oriented,” hence our reason of not attending their meetings as much as in the past. And so, now in the year 2017, the plans that were put together by the Plan Westside Future Fund are now being talked about at the NPU-T and City of Atlanta Meetings, which are the next “steps” in the process of implementation. It is very, very important in this “season” that we “show our faces” in these meetings, and voice our input.
